I love Xabia

LOCATION - JAVEA

THE JEWEL OF THE COSTA BLANCA

ABOUT JAVEA

Javea (also known as Xabia) is a small, historic town lying on the eastern most point of the Spanish coast. Free of high rise buildings offering a relaxing holiday atmosphere. The clear Mediterranean Sea laps the beautiful beaches and coves that Javea has to offer. It is only 1 hour's drive away from both

Alicante and Valencia airports.

The town is overlooked by the impressive mountain Montgo Massif. Standing at over 750 metres high, Montgo dominates the scenery of not only Javea but also the nearby resorts of Denia and Moraira.

The population of Javea is officially 33,000 and just half of this number is actually Spanish, with the rest being very multi-cultural. Its’ amazing scenery and an average of nearly 320 days sunshine per year makes Javea not only a popular holiday destination but also a great place to live.

Javea is split into three main areas, the Arenal, the Port and the Old Town. The Arenal area of Javea surrounds the glorious sandy beach of the Playa de Arenal. The entire beach front of the Arenal is lined with numerous bars and restaurants

offering a wide variety of cuisine.

JAVEA'S COASTLINE

Javea's Arenal Beach is unique thanks to the perfection of the water quality and cleanliness of the beach. Not only is it a World Health Organization accredited "blue-flag beach", but their report concluded it was"near perfect".

The Port area of Javea is situated a short walk from the Play de Arenal, past the half dozen or so beach bars that line the rocky beach which connects the Arenal and the Port. It is still a very active working port and you can watch the catches being landed off the boats each morning while the sun rises above the Med.

For those of you joining us on one of our boot camp holidays, expect some of your boot camp sessions to take place all along Javea's coastline, both on the arenal, the Port and the stunning Cala Blanca. Enjoy your training in the fresh air and take in the stunning views across the Med. You couldn't wish for a better place to get yourself into shape!

INLAND JAVEA

The Old Town area of Javea is set just back from the sea and is a real reminder of the town’s historic past. At its centre is the ancient church of Sant Bartomeu and the covered market which offers fresh local produce on a daily basis.

Surrounding the church square is a maze of narrow streets with gothic architecture

featuring the local Tosca stone.

The Costa Blanca is well known for its idyllic Mediterranean coastal location and gentle Spanish ambience. As well as this it is also known for it's miles and miles of hiking and mountain biking trails. This goes a long way to making Javea the perfect destination for your chosen fitness, sports or activity holiday with us.

With even more to explore across the Cpsta Blanca, you will have the opportunity to venture further inland and along the coast for climbing, abseiling and hiking expeditions, visiting places such as Altea, Calpe, Guadalest and Sierra Bernia.
